CURRENT
CURRENT is a set of illuminated elements along the front and rear cheeks of a set of 20 beach chalets along the coast at Blyth, UK. A number of cedar slats which clad the huts are replaced with white lighting elements that react dynamically to local wind speed. A wind turbine is installed near the chalets, and this system provides all the energy required to drive the artwork. Co-created with Laura Harrington.
