A time-compressed version of the original A-Team television series, based on a single, personally-memorable aspect of the show. The 98-episode series is contracted to scenes showing the handwork Sergeant Bosco Albert (Bad Attitude) Baracus during the preparatory interludes prior to each episode’s concluding showdown. Original re-orchestration of the A-Team theme recorded with Aby Vulliamy and George Murray.

A multimedia GPS walking tour of Newcastle city center, exploring the industrial social-history of the city. Energy and infrastructures hardware are digitally layered onto the real cityscape, and experienced in-place. Human performers and physical items spotted in the city are further used to merge uncanny media and real worlds. Commissioned by Wunderbar Festival 2009.

A multimedia walking tour of New York City, augmented by the use of portable media devices. Sites relevant to the original film ‘Ghostbusters’ compose the tour path, with video content relevant to the film, geography and history of New York comprising the tour. ghostbustour is an attempt to re-attach ʻmedia memoriesʼ with our experience of lived space and time.

Killing Lena

A single scanned image of Lena Soderberg took up favor amongst digital imaging researchers in the 1970s. The image has been used as a comparative standard in thousands of image compression tests, publications and algorithm shoot-outs for fomats such as JPEG and GIF. “Killing Lena” is Lena’s most famous photo repeatedly exposed to the algorithms she unwittingly helped develop.

Sacred Spaces

Sacred Spaces is a sound installation that is tuned to capture, process and play back the architectural characteristic and acoustic activity of the space in which is installed. Installations of the piece have occupied the stairwells of West Park Episcopalian Church and Chelsea Art Museum, NYC.

Vantage Point

Vantage Point is a dance and multimedia piece developed in collaboration with choreographer Beliz Demircioglu. The piece was developed as part of an inaugural residency at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Chelsea, NYC. Dancers control and effect four-channel sound and projected visual elements of the piece. Performed at various private and public showings at Baryshnikov’s studios and at Eyebeam.

Multimedia Dance piece with dancer/choreographer Beliz Demircioglu. A pair of emitter/receiver bracelets are worn such that the linear distance, relative speed and orientation of the dancerʼs arms were tracked and interpreted as sound and projected image.
